Dubai: On Saturday, the Roads and Transports Authority (RTA) will open the Phase II of the Traffic Diversion Project stretching from Shaikh Khalifa Street in the direction of the Dubai World Trade Centre R/A and vice versa.
Another diversion runs from Al Garhoud in the direction of Al Mina through Shaikh Rashid Street and vice versa. These diversions, which extend 4km, maintain the same number of existing lanes to ensure a smooth flow of traffic and avoid potential congestion.
An integrated plan has been prepared for the traffic diversions in both directions of Shaikh Rashid and Shaikh Khalifa Streets. The diversions will remain in place throughout the remaining work of the project which is expected to be completed in April 2018.
The RTA calls upon road users to abide by the traffic laws, follow the signals, and cautionary signs. They are urged to adhere to the speed limit to ensure a safe and smooth transport for all.
