Dubai: An Emirates passenger aircraft suffered minor damage after coming into contact with another airplane on the ground at Changi Airport in Singapore, Emirates airlines said on Thursday.
Media reports from the country showed images of what appeared to be exterior damage to the Emirates plane near one of the airline’s emblems.

No injuries were reported from the mishap and passengers left the aircraft and were rebooked on other flights to reach their destinations, said Emirates in a statement.
"Emirates flight EK405 from Singapore to Dubai on 30 March was slightly damaged during pushback. Engineering inspections determined that some repairs will be required and as a result all our affected passengers have now been rebooked on alternative flights,” said an Emirates spokesperson.
“Emirates apologises for any inconvenience caused, however, the safety of our passengers and crew is of utmost importance," the spokesperson said.
According to The Straits Times, the Emirates plane collided with a Scoot airline plane.
A Scoot spokesman said in a statement that its TZ188, bound for Tianjin, China, was taxiing to the runway shortly before take-off when the two planes came into contact with each other around 1.40am.
Scoot told Straits Times that 303 passengers and 11 crew were unhurt and were dispatched to another plane for a flight later Thursday morning.
The Scoot spokesperson said the left wing of the Scoot plane touched the Emirates aircraft and was being repaired.
"We are working with the relevant authorities to investigate the cause of the incident," the spokesperson said.
