Dubai: Whether you’re looking for car accessories, outdoor tools or simply for some spare parts, all these kinds of items and more will soon be available under one roof. And at a fraction of the cost.

Dubai Police announced on Tuesday that it will be holding a public auction next week at the Department of Transport and Rescue for used items and spare parts.

The auction will be carried out on March 10, 2018, at 11am, but residents will not have to wait until then to find out the goods on offer, as organisers will showcase the deals from March 6-8, between 9am and 12pm.

Cars on sale

The upcoming auction will also include vehicles confiscated and impounded for a number of offences, including street racing, jumping a red light or accumulating an overwhelming amount of traffic fines.

However, some motorists refuse to pay off their fines and never claim their cars back, which are then left to collect dust in the police yard.

The auction is free, and participants are required to bring along their Emirates ID card.

For more information, residents can contact the Department of Transport and Rescue at 050 9749 952 or the Department of Traffic at 050 5411 711.
