Abu Dhabi: As part of its campaign to reduce the number of abandoned and neglected vehicles on the streets of the capital, the Abu Dhabi Municipality (ADM) has issued seven violation and seven warning notices to the vehicle owners.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the ADM said that the campaign was aimed at maintaining the clean image of the city by taking action against the dirty vehicles that have been abandoned for so long.

The ADM said that it would be working with relevant authorities to raise public awareness about cleanliness of the vehicles parked on the streets.

The ADM called on residents to maintain the clean environment of the city, and regularly wash their cars and not to leave them unattended at one place for a long time.

Owners of neglected and abandoned vehicles face a fine of Dh3,000.
