The Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport (DMAT) at Abu Dhabi City Municipality, in coordination with Abu Dhabi Police, have announced that the first stage of road works have started at Al Zahiya area, along 10th Street..
The first stage of road works will affect the residential area of Sector E-14 from July 16, 2017, to March 2018, and traffic will be diverted to Al Ferdous Street, changing it into a two-way street during the duration of the detour.
Tourist Club Area
Motorists in the area, which was previously known as the Tourist Club Area, are warned to expect traffic build-up in the area and its surroundings.
In a tweet, DMAT also announced that during the second stage of road works, direct access to Beach Rotana, Abu Dhabi Mall, Le Meridian and Sector E-14 residential area will be provided from Al Ferdous Street.
The second stage of road works is expected to start from July 31, 2017, to March 2018.
Abu Dhabi Police apologised for any inconvenience caused, and “appreciates the cooperation to abide by traffic rules, and to take necessary caution.”
