Dubai: No matter where you are on earth, now you can catch the New Year's Eve countdown and fireworks display on the world's tallest building.

That's because Emaar, the UAE-based developer behind Burj Khalifa, is promoting something it has never done before -- to let the world join in the NYE celebrations as Downtown Dubai and the Burj Khalifa light up the sky.

In a Youtube video commercial, "For One Night Only", the developer said will be the first time the New Year's Eve spectacle in Dubai will be livestreamed -- to be viewed live by anyone, anywhere with an internect connection.

Burj Khalifa is the tallest man-made structure in the world, standing at 829.8m (2,722 ft).

"Join us 31 December and witness a spectacular New Year’s Eve fireworks display like never before. Wherever you are in the world – tune in as we’ll be Live Streaming the event on the Downtown Dubai YouTube channel," the video ad stated.

Dubai (UAE) time is GMT+4. The livestreaming channel is: www.youtube.com/downtowndubai

The 30-second video shows spectular fireworks displays taken in previous NYEs as the theme song of Downtown Dubai called "The Centre of Now", a song especially commissioned and written for Downtown Dubai, plays in the background.

Last year, Giacomo Puccini's "Nessun Dorma" set the mood for the Dubai Fountain show on NYE.

Downtown Dubai, billed as the most prestigious square kilometre of real estate in the world, is the home to Burj Khalifa, The Dubai Fountain and The Dubai Mall.

A stroll or bicycle ride (and, soon, on electric "Trolley Tram") around the Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Boulevard is sure to enthrall visitors, too. The 2-square-kilometre Downtown Dubai is best described as the new heart of the city.

The video ad is scant on details.

But since the world's tallest man-made structure opened in January 2010, different fireworks artistry had been displayed in Downtown Dubai, quickly earning for it a place in the league of the world's most popular New Year's Eve celebrations.
