Dubai: Three jaw-dropping stunts, including one world-first, were pulled off at some of Dubai’s most iconic landmarks in a video that has quickly gained traction on Youtube.
XDubai athlete Nick Jacobsen jumped off the sail-shaped seven-star Burj Al Arab hotel — and kitesurfed into the surrounding water.
The stunt pulled off by Jacobsen, a kiteboarding and kitesurfing champion, is a record-breaking and world-first feat from the Burj Al Arab’s iconic helipad, organisers claim.
The act is part of the death-defying stunt conceived by XDubai and Mercedes-Benz Cars Middle East to promote Mercedes-AMG’s A45 4matic, the CLA 45 4matic and the GLA 45 4matic.
The video kicked off with stuntman Damien Walters getting off a fast-moving Merc into a rope dangling from a crane — and just why he is a Hollywood favourite.
It also shows world-renowned skydiver and base jumper Noah Bahnson astonishingly taunting gravity.
The act was conceptualised by XDubai for Mercedes Benz Cars Middle East and produced by XDubai/Dubai Film.
