Sharjah: A Saudi tourist couldn’t believe his eyes when he his lost phone was returned to him at his home in Saudi Arabia after he forgot it at Sharjah International Airport.

Omar Abdul Aziz, from Saudi Arabia, posted a video on social media network, thanking Sharjah police for their effort in finding his smart phone and then send it to his home in Saudi Arabia.

“Thanks to Sharjah Police for their effort to return my phone to me. After I lodged a complaint about my lost phone, the police contacted me and sent the phone to my home. Special thanks to Major Ahmad Al Suwaidi and all officers of Sharjah Police,” Omar Abdul Aziz said.

Major Ahmad Al Suwaidi, deputy director at airport Police station in Sharjah, said they received an email through the interior ministry’s complaint system from the Saudi tourist who said he lost the phone when he was leaving the country. “He also made a phone call after he reached Saudi Arabia and we told hi that his phone has been found and it will be sent to him,” he said.

“We are always keen to provide best services to the public and the tourists even beyond their expectations. It is part of the interior ministry’s vision to make UAE the safest country in the world,” Major Al Suwaidi added.
