Dubai: Dubai Miracle Garden that reopened last week has a number of exciting attractions including live shows, hammocks and floating beds to offer in its new season.

Dubbed the world’s largest natural flower garden, it has almost 50 million plants in 120 flower varieties. The number of flowers this year has increased by more than 20 per cent, a press release said on Monday.

Among the many concepts being unveiled this year, a major theme will be a ‘Sunflower Lovers Theme’ with new varieties of sunflowers in different zones across the garden promising a wonderful sensory experience for people of all ages.

A 12-metre-high floral teddy bear structure will also be a significant attraction at the Dubai Miracle Garden.

Visitors will be able to see beautifully designed 3D shapes of animals and various prominent cartoon characters made of flowers. Those who truly love nature will get to see creatively designed floral cartoon structures, parrots, kangaroos, giant ants, butterflies and swans that showcase the garden’s floral artistry.

The world’s largest flower structure (awarded by the Guinness World Records), shaped in the form of an Emirates A380, will also be a major draw for visitors.

For the first time, visitors will be able to watch 3D Mapping Videos on a Flower Screen.

Dubai Miracle Garden will also feature a new amphitheatre, which will have live shows. Visitors can also use numerous hammocks to sit in the garden over floating beds between the flowers as part of the Caribbean Hammock experience.

The garden has significantly expanded its parking facilities to almost 60,000 sq m, which will accommodate nearly 2,000 cars.

Abdul Nasser Rahhal, founder and creator of Dubai Miracle Garden, said: “In every season, Dubai Miracle Garden challenges itself to carve a special place in the hearts of visitors with breathtaking visuals and an experience that they are sure to share with friends and family.

“With our unmatched legacy in botanical landscape and creativity of designers, we have reached a stage where people anticipate out-of-the-box installations every year. Our preparations are aligned with the expectations, and this season is no exception.”

“Continuing this innovative trend, we will shortly be unveiling a significant new attraction in association with one of the most renowned international brands during the upcoming season.”

Dubai Miracle Garden has received major international recognition in recent times. It received two major international awards — the ‘International Garden Tourism Leader Award 2017’ at the Garden Tourism Awards – Canada Garden Council, North American Garden Tourism Conference.
