Dubai: Wednesday is the first day that the Porsche RoadStar campaign will be going around Sharjah to award safe Sharjah drivers.
The third day (Tuesday) of the Porsche RoadStar campaign, and its last day in Dubai, resulted in awarding 10 safe drivers with Dh1,000 each and an appreciation certificate endorsed by the police as part of their 32nd edition.
The biannual Porsche RoadStar campaign will be in Sharjah on Wednesday and Thursday.
The campaign promotes safe driving and rewards drivers who adhere to traffic rules in the strictest sense.
The 10 winners of the third day were Hassan Noushal, Naveen Francis, Abdul Rahman Ala’a Al Dwwn, from India; Diana Al Yafi from Poland; Nadia Chourabi from Tunisia; Sayyed Al Hashemi from Iran; Musa Mohammad and Mohammad Al Murr from the UAE; Gary Jatt from Malaysia; and Andrea Dumitru from Romania.
The five-day campaign is sponsored by Al Naboodah the only distributor for Porsche in Dubai and the northern emirates, RSA Insurance, Mobil 1, Gulf News and Radio 2, and is organised by Ciel Events in cooperation with Emirates Motor Sports Federation (EMSF).
The campaign made its debut in 1998 with the Emirates Motor Sports Federation (EMSF) and the full support of the police departments of the concerned emirates.
RoadStar received the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) Dubai Award for Sustainable Transport (DAST) in 2009.
