Dubai: Some of the “world’s most influential female business leaders” from Science, Technology, and Engineering and Math (STEM) fields have joined forces with the Meera Kaul Foundation (MKF) to bring the third instalment of the Women in STEM (WiSTEM) Conference to Dubai. The Global Women in STEM Conference and Awards will be held from October 25 to 26 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Dubai, featuring an agenda of four industry-led tracks, from energy and investing to Internet of Things and sharing economy; a start-up pitch battle of business ideas; career and start-up fair showcasing fresh talent and fresh ideas; speed mentoring; and the exclusive Women in STEM Awards.

Meera Kaul, an entrepreneur with several tech companies around the world who is a women’s rights activist and chairperson of the Meera Kaul Foundation, announced a number of high-profile speakers supporting women in STEM careers. They include Dr Hessa Al Jaber, former Minister of ICT, Qatar; Sandy Carter, 2016 digital influencer (Forbes); and Omair Al Bu Saidi, Head of Investment - Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority, among others.

The two-day forum will attract up to 500 women from across USA, UK, Europe, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Egypt, Africa, China, Jordan and India.
