Dubai: The 119-hectare wildlife sanctuary project in Dubai is almost ready, and municipality officials have already taken a tour.

Dubai Municipality posted a video on social networking sites of Eng. Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director General of the municipality, carrying out an inspection tour on Monday at the Dubai Safari project.

During his visit, Lootah was accompanied with Eng. Dawood Al Hajiri, Assistant Director General for Engineering and Planning Sector, as well as a number of senior officials and engineers in charge of executing the project.

A sneak peek into Dubai Safari ahead of its opening.

The tour included officials hopping on a modified shuttle train as they watched the animals settling into their new homes, which included ostriches, gazelles and hyenas.

Ticket prices for Dubai Safari Park will range from Dh20 to Dh30 for children and Dh50 to Dh85 for adults.

Children below three, adults above 60 and people of determination (special needs) can enjoy their visit for free.

The safari project will be divided into four different sections — African, Asian and Arabian Villages and an open safari — for animals coming from different geographical locations, with architecture and landscaping to match, along with a valley area and a wadi area.

It is located in Dubai's Al Warqaa district opposite the Dragon Mart off the Dubai-Hatta Highway.

Visitors can either take tickets for them separately or choose to go for an all-access ticket, which will have a discounted rate.
