Dubai: The sacrifices and accomplishments of the UAE Armed Forces are a source of pride for every Emirati, said His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Shaikh Mohammad made these remarks during a visit to an exhibition at Etihad Museum in Dubai titled ‘Protectors of the Nation … Sacrifice And Giving’, which traces the history of the UAE Armed Forces.
“Since its inception, our Armed Forces have kept pace with global developments in training and preparation of personnel, who represent the main asset of any defence system. The development process also included the acquisition of the latest weapons to ensure our Armed Forces always held the edge in the field,” said Shaikh Mohammad.
“It’s our duty to teach the current generation about the glorious history of our Armed Forces not only to instil patriotism in them, but also to make them aware of the history of the nation and the sacrifices made to safeguard its progress,” he added.
Shaikh Mohammad toured the exhibition which is being organised by the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority in partnership with the UAE Ministry of Defence and the General Command of the UAE Armed Forces. He was accompanied by Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai.
