How Filipinos can get a conduct certificate

Philippine consulate sets up appointment system for good conduct certificate

17:47 February 8, 2018

Dubai: The Philippine Consulate-General in Dubai has set up an appointment system for Filipinos who need to secure a good conduct certificate required for their UAE work permits.

The UAE’s new rule for all visit visa holders to obtain a certificate of good conduct from their home country first in order to be issued a work permit when applying for a job in the UAE took effect on February 4.

The good conduct certificate’s counterpart in the Philippines is the “No Criminal Record” issued by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), popularly known as NBI Clearance.

In a video advisory on Thursday, Consul-General Paul Raymund Cortes said the consulate has set up an appointment system for those visit visa holders who need to secure the certificate from Dubai.

“Due to the thousands of Filipinos in Dubai who currently need the certificate, we have set up an appointment system at the consulate where we can also do the fingerprinting for them,” Cortes said.

Applicants may visit www.dubaipcg.dfa.gov.ph and book an appointment at the NBI Clearance Fingerprinting Portal. This means applicants no longer need to visit a police station to give their rolled impressions as it can now be done at the consulate.

The other option is to do it by securing an NBI Form 5 and going to the nearest police station to get the rolled impressions. Once done, the applicant may return to the consulate to complete the process.
