Dubai: The world's heaviest woman, Eman Ahmad Abdul Atti, continues to be in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital in Abu Dhabi for the third day after arriving in the UAE capital from Mumbai.
Abdul Atti is expected to complete a series of assessment tests at Burjeel Hospital in Abu Dhabi.
She had bariatric surgery on March 7 for weight loss at the Saifee Hospital in Mumbai.
Following the surgery, Abdul Atti is said to have lost over 300 kg in weight in three months, going from a reported 500kg to 176 kg.
A spokesperson of Burjeel Hospital said: "Eman is still undergoing a battery of assessment tests. She is stable, seems happy as she smiles and waves and we continue to keep her under observation. Once the tests are completed by Sunday, we will take a decision on the future rehabilitation strategy."
Until then, Abdul Atti will continue to be at the ICU.
The spokesperson also said so far Abdul Atti has not been weighed after coming to Abu Dhabi. "Once she is moved to her special room she will be weighed," he added.
