Dubai: Monday morning’s heavy fog may have disrupted commuters and caused traffic congestion, but up on top of the city’s skyscrapers, it couldn’t have been a more picturesque sight.
In his latest Instagram post, Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, shared images of the thick blanket of fog that enveloped the city’s skyline.
The national met agency had also warned that visibility will be reduced to less than 100 metres on Abu Dhabi-Dubai roads, the Abu Dhabi western area, Mohammad Bin Zayed Road, Umm Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah.
In one of his Instagram Stories, Shaikh Hamdan captured the morning fog in what seems to be from the top of a high-rise building. You can hardly make out the city down below, and through the mist, the Burj Khalifa and a few other skyscrapers, such as Emirates Towers, can be seen.
Over the next few days, fog and mist is expected to continue across the country, with temperatures dropping to a minimum of 12 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 28 degrees Celsius.
