Dubai: Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has issued directives to Dubai government departments, authorities and other bodies to participate in the UAE Water Aid project launched by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to provide clean drinking water to 5 million people in countries suffering from water shortages.

Shaikh Hamdan stressed the UAE approach that is based on providing assistance to everyone.

He also pointed out the pivotal role played by the state in humanitarian fields which are traits inherent in the UAE people.

He added that the UAE is the capital of goodness and the good hearts of the UAE people will always extend a helping hand to those in need.

“The institutions and government departments are important and influential in the social fabric of the UAE, and this imposes responsibilities and duties on these bodies. Thus they must do their utmost and unite efforts in favour of the initiative,” he added.
