Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai surpassed four million Twitter followers on Thursday.
The benchmark did not go unnoticed by Shaikh Mohammad, who took to Twitter to make the announcement and thank his followers.
“My number of Twitter followers reached 4 mln today. My total following exceeds 8 mln including Facebook, Instagram and Google+,” he Tweeted.

In 2014, Shaikh Mohammad was ranked amoung the top 10 state leaders who use Twitter to engage their citizens by the Burson-Marsteller's "Twiplomacy" study.
He also said that social media are tools for innovation, knowledge creation, development and social cooperation.
