Dubai: Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, honoured a group of male and female students who won the first three places within the Documentary Competition, organised by the Dubai Press Club as part of the Emirati Media Forum.
The Martyr’s Soul, which won first place, was made by the Ras Al Khaimah Men’s College-Colleges of Higher Technology, while UAE’s Brave Soldiers, made by the Abu Dhabi Women’s College, won second place.
The third documentary His Soul is Calling made by a group of students from UAE University, came third from among entries submitted by competitors from all over the world.
The three documentaries exemplify the state of national solidarity and the overwhelming national spirit experienced by the Emirati community.
The films depict the mixed feelings of pride, grief, patriotism and sacrifice in serving the nation and raising its profile on the global arena. They also reflect the sincere emotions expressed by Emiratis towards their nation and leadership.
