ABU DHABI: Art enthusiasts from around the country joined Abu Dhabi Festival for ‘Artists in Conversation’, an exclusive talk with two of the UAE’s most dynamic Emirati artists, Reem Falaknaz and Ammar Al Attar.

The two noted artists came together to discuss their work and featured pieces alongside the leading curator and 2015 Festival commissioned artist, Noor Al Suwaidi.

Exploring the creativity of the Emirati contemporary arts scene, ‘the festival’s Emirati Insights’ presents a diverse and stimulating selection of artworks across a variety of forms.

Some of the works include photography, video, and mixed media from 12 leading local contemporary artists, including Reem Falaknaz, Ammar Al Attar, Latifa Al Maktoum, Shaikha Fatima Bint Hazza Al Nahyan and Hamdan Buti Al Shamsi, among other established names.

Open for public viewing in Emirates Palace Gallery until April 20, the exhibition has coincided with the impending release of‘Art of the Emirates’, an Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Foundation publication supported by Waha Capital that explores the Emirati visual arts sector through the people that give life to it.
