Dubai: Twenty of the Arab world’s music heavyweights are set to perform in Dubai in a mega concert series, DSF Celebration Nights, during the upcoming 20th edition of the Dubai Shopping Festival.

The concert series will be the biggest of its kind in the region. It is organised by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), in collaboration with Platinum Records, a full-service entertainment company owned by MBC Group, and in association with Dubai Media City.

The line-up of famous Arab singers who will feature in DSF Celebration Nights includes icons like Saudi singer Mohammad Abdo, Egyptian pop superstar Amr Diab, Emirati singer Ahlam, the internationally renowned Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram, one of the best-selling recording artists Najwa Karam, also from Lebanon, the highly acclaimed singer Diana Haddad, and many more.

The concert series will be held at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre, which can accommodate an audience of 5,000.

The 20th edition of the DSF will be held from January 1 to February 1.

DSF 2015 will kick off Dubai’s events calendar in the New Year under the theme ‘20th Anniversary – A Journey of Celebrations’ with a range of events, activities and promotions, offering an enriching shopping experience, combined with entertainment and lucky draws.
