Sharjah: The Sharjah Exhibition for Children’s Books Illustrations, organised by the Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) during the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival, has received 1,378 illustrations from 64 countries. The highest number of artworks submitted were from Egypt, Syria and Italy.
The exhibition is being held as part of the eighth edition of the Sharjah Children Reading Festival, which will take place at the Expo Centre Sharjah from April 20 to 30.
This year, 296 artists from 15 Arab countries and 31 other countries have submitted 1,378 illustrations. Egypt topped the list of participants with submissions from 50 illustrators, followed by Syria in second place with 27 illustrators and Italy with 24 illustrators.
