Dubai Opera announced on Tuesday that an initial wave of 49 events will take place at the soon-to-be-opened Downtown Dubai venue this year, starting on August 31 with Placido Domingo. A portion of the events were named by organisers, though dates are yet to be announced. Tickets will go on sale on April 24, at 9am, from dubaiopera.com. Further events will be announced in the coming months.
