Dubai: The Ramadan Night Market will provide a 10-day shopping fiesta between June 23 and July 2 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Now in its fifth year, the market will be open between 8pm and 2am and will allow people to finish their Eid shopping while having some fun as the market has a variety of brands from around the region, food, family entertainment, lucky draws and other irresistible offers.

The market’s entry fee is Dh5 per person with free entry for children under five.

“Given the massive popularity of the Ramadan Night Market, I believe we can safely say that this is one of the most-awaited consumer events for Dubai residents,” said Samantha Cordeiro Miranda, brand manager of the Ramadan Night Market at Sumansa Exhibitions (the organisers).

“The appeal lies in the wholesome experience that the event provides for families in particular who find few entertainment avenues during Ramadan. The fair is a great combination of a shopping experience with a bazaar-like feel which offers something for everyone from all age groups,” she added.

People can shop for clothes, jewellery and accessories, health and beauty products, personal care products, perfumes, food, home appliances, electronics, toys and baby items, handicrafts and souvenirs and collectibles at the market. There are also travel and tourism retailers as well as medical institutions there.

Another thing people can look forward to at the fair is the magical world of bubbles, where playing with bubbles will take a new meaning, as well as a henna majlis.

This year, in addition to increasing the variety of retailers, they have also upped the entertainment with the addition of a puppet show by the Confetti Theatre.

The Confetti Show will educate children through puppetry and songs, teaching them important social behaviour, besides addressing health and fitness issues.

“During the hot summer months, parents need a place where they can take their kids to play, and the indoor Ramadan Night Market provides the perfect combo. It is easy for adults to keep an eye on their children since the Play Area is close to the shopping and food stalls, which works beautifully,” added Miranda.
