Dubai: The Global Village is gearing up to welcome visitors for its 21st season on November 1.

Key senior government officials met for a briefing on Tuesday to provide them with updates, in preparation for its opening in November.

Brigadier General Abdullah Ali Abdullah Hassan Gaithi, the Director of the General Administration of Security Bodies, Enterprises and Emergency and head of the Events Security Committee, headed the briefing session that was attended by heads of Dubai government authorities that will participate in the 21st season of Global Village.

Representatives from the Dubai Police, Dubai Municipality, Dubai Civil Defence, Dubai Ambulance Services, Dubai Health Authority, Roads and Transport Authority and Dubai Economic Department attended the briefing.

Ahmad Hussain Bin Eisa, Global Village CEO, provided the committee with significant updates on this season’s operational plans including enhanced parking layout plans, new bespoke entertainment, secured entry and exit points, along with the inclusion of the new pavilions for the upcoming season.

Brigadier General Hassan Gaithi said the committee is committed to creating a comprehensive programme to ensure maximum security measures.

“Our primary objective in every season is to contribute to the success of Global Village and provide a safe and secure experience to their guests,” Hassn Gaithi said.

Bin Eisa said the briefing represents a key step towards “even better levels of happiness and satisfaction for our guests”.

“We will follow a specific plan in the 21st season to ensure the highest international quality and safety standards hand in hand with the Events Security Committee.”
