Dubai: Ten children’s playgrounds costing Dh30 million will be built by Dubai Municipality to ensure the safety of little ones within designated areas.

The playgrounds will be constructed in 10 different residential areas in the emirate. The move comes in line with the municipality’s keenness to ensure the well-being and happiness of people living in Dubai.

The new play area will feature sophisticated facilities that are uniquely designed to cater to children’s needs and serve Dubai’s lifestyle.

Eng Hussain Nasser Lootah, director-general of the municipality, said the civic body is always keen to work in line with the wise government’s future vision for implementation of creative projects that provide quality services to make people happy. The project will reflect Dubai’s civilised image and the reputation of Dubai Municipality as a civic body that provides high-quality services to its customers.

Playground Adventure, Playground Educational, Playground Sensory, Themed Playground, Playground Space, Playground Desert and Playground Music are among the play areas planned to soon be built in Dubai.

Lootah said that new creative ideas will be applied in constructing the playgrounds combining education and entertainment to ignite in children the sense of discovery. The playgrounds are also designed to meet the needs of children with special needs.
