Dubai: The second edition of the Dubai Grand Parade will take place on November 28, bringing together UAE’s most luxurious cars and bikes.

The parade, organised by Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), is one of the main attractions of the Dubai Motor Festival 2014 – organised by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM).

Hundreds of UAE-based owners of super, luxury, unique, classic and vintage cars and bikes have already signed up for the Middle East’s largest motoring pageant, exceeding the total number of entries recorded for last year’s inaugural event.

“The response to this year’s Dubai Grand Parade from individual car owners, as well as car clubs and private collectors, has been overwhelming. It’s remarkable that in one short year, the parade has evolved into a key addition to Dubai’s calendar of world-class family-friendly events. People across the country look forward to the parade and the event has taken on a central role in cementing Dubai’s reputation as the motoring capital of the Middle East,” said Trixie Loh Mirmand, senior vice-president, exhibitions and events management at DWTC.

Starting and ending at Meydan, the parade will be led by Dubai Police’s fleet of marquee supercars, and will weave through the city’s iconic streets. It will see thousands of spectators cheer on the convoy as it navigates a series of landmarks.

The parade will also be celebrating the UAE’s 43rd National Day as it unifies the nation in a spirit of motoring.

Participation in the Dubai Grand Parade is open to anyone who owns a prized motor vehicle worthy of being showcased in the region’s largest procession of luxury and exotic automobiles.

Registration is open until 3pm on November 6 and can be done through www.dubaigrandparade.com/register.
