Ras Al Khaimah: Doctors in Saqr Hospital saved the life of a 27-year-old man who was stabbed in the stomach with a blade. As a result of the stabbing, the man’s intestines came out.
Police said the man was involved in a quarrel when he was stabbed with sharp tools. He was found on the road by a passer-by who called the police.
Dr Abdullah Al Nuaimi, director of Ras Al Khaimah medical distrait, said a medical team of nine doctors saved the life of the young man after an eight-hour operation which started at 12 midnight on November 23. The man was discharged on December 4.
Mohammad Rashid Bin Arshid, director of Saqr Hospital, said the swift medical intervention helped save his life.
The Pakistani man was taken to Saqr Hospital and the doctors in the operation room found injuries on his left kidney and decided to do nephrectomy and parts of his small intestine and colon were removed.
