Dubai: Dubai residents will be able to complete all medical test procedures electronically at any of the Dubai Health Authority’s (DHA) Medical Fitness Centres starting this August.

The DHA announced on Monday that residents have the option of completing their medical test procedures at 40 approved typing centres around the city until the new system is implemented.

The system adopted by the DHA aims to provide customers with a one-stop shop when completing the tedious medical test procedures required for residency, employment or education visas.

The medical fitness test, which includes a blood test and an X-ray, is a mandatory requirement for all expats in the UAE.

Companies and typing centres can register in the new system online by acquiring a valid login and password. The medical fitness service can be used by applicants of age 17 and above.

“The new system will allow customers and companies to receive the results of medical fitness tests electronically without the need for a paper document,” said Maisa Al Bostani, director of the Medical Fitness Services Department at DHA.

The new system will improve customer experience, reduce waiting time, and provide all services needed in one place.

Al Bostani pointed out that the new system is part of the medical fitness centres’ service and facility expansion plans that are in line with the Dubai Government’s objectives to provide customers with quality services and achieve customer satisfaction.
