Dubai: Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation, and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates airline and Group, on Monday opened the new building of the Iranian Hospital in Dubai.

The opening ceremony was attended by Eisa Al Maidour, Director-General of the Dubai Health Authority, Sultan Ahmad Bin Sulayem, Chairman of DP World and Chairman of Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, (PCFC), Mohammad Reda Fayadh, Iranian Ambassador to the UAE, and other officials.

Shaikh Ahmad toured various sections in the hospital where he was briefed by officials on the hospital’s hi-tech equipment and its highly qualified medical cadres as well as sophisticated medical technologies and services.

The hospital offers comprehensive health-care services, including surgery and all kinds of treatment. The opening of the new building and equipping it with cutting-edge technologies is an important achievement for the UAE’s health sector. The newly renovated hospital offers high-quality health-care services as per international standards.

The Iranian Hospital is the oldest hospital in Dubai and has been providing its medical services for more than 43 years. It was built by the Iranian Red Crescent on a plot of land donated by the late Shaikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum.
