Dubai: A 24/7 medical fitness service provided at the Al Muhaisnah medical fitness centre has turned out to very successful. DHA has several medical fitness centres located across different parts of the emirate for issuance and renewal of medical fitness certificates.

Dr Maisa Al Bustani, Director of Medical Fitness at the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), said that the service which was introduced in the last quarter of 2014 has become extremely popular among residents who are able to walk in at any time to avail of the 24-hour service..

“Since the end of December 2014, the centre functions round the clock, seven days a week, for the convenience of customers. Al Muhaisnah centre accepts all categories of clients, provides all types of medical fitness services, including express and VIP services. The centre provides only visa renewal services on Fridays and Saturdays and on weekdays offers all medical fitness services,” said Maisa.

She also highlighted the change in timings for other DHA medical fitness centres. Medical fitness is a mandatory requirement for all expats in the UAE. It is required for residency, employment, education or residency visas.

The DHA has several medical fitness centres in Dubai and some new centres will be added in 2015, in line with the DHA’s expansion plans.

Of the health centres, the Al Quoz centre, which accepts all categories of clients, is now open from 730am to 9pm on weekdays.

The medical fitness centre at Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority (JAFZA), which is for JAZFA’s clients and employees, Emirates airline medical fitness centre which is for Emirates employees, and the medical fitness centre at Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) which is for DIFC clients, are open on weekdays from 8am to 3pm.
