Dubai: Over 400 high level Dubai Health Authority’s (DHA) officials will undergo a leadership, corporate strategy and innovations training programme with the Mohammad Bin Rashid School of Government as part of the Health Pioneers’ programme.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed Humaid Al Qutami, Chairman of the Board and Director-General of the DHA and Dr Ali Al Marri, MBRSG’s Executive President.

In the first year, a cohort about 25 DHA senior corporate leaders will undergo the training for period of 11 months.

Addressing the audience, Al Qutami said that the establishment of such a partnership with MBRSG represents an important opportunity for the DHA’s senior and top management to enhance their abilities and expertise to fulfil DHA’s developmental health strategy of 2016 -2021.

Dr Al Marri said that MBRSG is dedicated to supporting good governance and promoting best practices in the UAE.

“We are honoured to be contributing to DHA’s plans to revolutionise its services. We strive to empower future-ready leaders to take charge and propel government departments in the Emirates to the forefront.”

Dr Aisha Al Shamsi, director of the executive education programme of MBRSG, told Gulf News: “The health pioneers’ programme which is designed in collaboration with the Imperial College of London will have projects every month and teams will work in tandem on these. The programme will also include a site visit to the Imperial College of London, UK at the conclusion of the training.”

Amna Hamood Obaid Al Shamsi from DHA Human Resources Department, said: “The programme is designed to focus on various aspects of leadership, identify the gaps and train the officials.”
