Abu Dhabi: The Zayed Giving Initiative has launched a leading campaign under the slogan ‘Your Hearts are our Responsibility’ for early detection of workers’ heart diseases.
Having been launched through the Emirates Voluntary Medical Convoys that provide medical services to workers at the workplace in a joint initiative with the Saudi-German Hospital and Dar Al Ber Society, the campaign comes to build on the UAE’s growing interest in providing workers integrated services at the workplace and establishing an appropriate environment that allows them to strengthen their capacities and skills.
Commenting on the campaign Dr Abdullah Shehab, Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Medicine and Executive Director of Doctors for Humanity, said, “The campaign is being organised under close supervision of experienced cardiologists in coordination with various public and non-profitable private institutions in an attempt to detect and curb heart diseases.”
