Abu Dhabi: The UAE has condemned the terrorist attack that targeted worshippers in a mosque in Al Qadeeh village of Saudi Arabia, leading to the death and injury of dozens of people.

In a statement on Friday, Dr Anwar Mohammad Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, emphasised the UAE’s unwavering position against all forms of terrorism that are contrary to Islamic values and teachings.

He added that this terrorist crime further emphasises the need for unifying and intensifying efforts of the international community to combat such cowardly acts and ideologies that do not take into consideration the value of human life or sanctity of places of worship.

Gargash said the UAE strongly condemns such criminal acts, and reaffirmed that the country forever rejects all forms of violence and terrorism.

He stressed the UAE’s solidarity and support for Saudi Arabia in facing such dangerous acts of terrorism that aim to harm its unity.

Gargash also expressed the UAE’s heartfelt condolences to Saudi Arabia’s government, people and families of the victims. The UAE also wished the injured a speedy recovery.
