Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, today inaugurated the Enterprise Command and Control Centre (EC3), which will act as a unified platform linking various control centres of the Roads and Transport Authority’s operational agencies with an integrated central control unit.

According to the authority, EC3 will prop up the RTA’s efforts towards transforming Dubai into the smartest city worldwide in the field of transport. The centre will also ease traffic congestion and improve customers’ transit experience, contributing to their happiness by offering a direct feed of information about the mobility of various transit modes.

The opening ceremony was attended by Mattar Mohammad Al Tayer, RTA Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman, Director-General of Dubai Protocol and Hospitality Department, and Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police.
