Sharjah: The University of Sharjah has laid down long-term plans to ensure it keeps up with developments, and to achieve academic excellence and leadership in all majors, His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, said. He was attending a ceremony hosted by the University of Sharjah to celebrate the graduation of the 16th batch.
Dr Shaikh Sultan said that the university had drawn up plans that will drive it towards excellence.
“We had to work tirelessly at an unprecedented speed to establish unique and excellent academic institutions in order to enable our people to acquire knowledge, and intellectual and professional skills that would prompt towards for more innovation and excellence in all fields,” Dr Shaikh Sultan said.
“Today, we are celebrating your success and tomorrow starts the hard work and unlimited giving stage to fulfil your aspirations. We ask you to make the most of any opportunity to gain more knowledge and science, we ask you to adhere to our Islamic and national values,” Dr Shaikh Sultan said while addressing the graduates.
“We want you to be role models and to be the best representatives of your university and country, we are fully convinced that among you there will be innovators and creative people in all aspects of life.”
Shaikh Khalid Bin Abdullah Al Qasimi, Chairman of Seaports and Customs Department, Saif Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Director of Sharjah University City, and Khamis Bin Salem Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Department of Suburbs and Villages Affairs attended the ceremony besides other shaikhs and senior officials.
