Abu Dhabi: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, yesterday (Monday) received scholars and intellectuals participating in the fourth edition of the Forum for Promoting Peace in Muslim Societies.
Shaikh Mohammad welcomed the delegates, accompanied by Dr Mohammad Mattar Al Kaabi, Chairman of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments and Secretary General of the forum. He wished them success in enhancing awareness about true Islam and its teachings based on peace, cooperation and love.
Shaikh Mohammad underlined the importance of the forum in highlighting the true and genuine image of Islam and stressed the role of scholars in dispersing misconceptions about Islam and wrong practices as well as in exposing malicious agendas adopted by those who embrace intolerance and violence as a means to promote their destructive ideologies and distort the image of Islam.
The guests praised the role played by the UAE under the leadership of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan in promoting peace and values of love and solidarity and interfaith tolerance.
