Abu Dhabi: The UAE has used all its regulatory and administrative bodies to serve Emiratis, said His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.

Shaikh Mohammad said that Emiratis are the main goal behind every strategy and plan, and that they are at the heart of development and the key pillar for achieving progress and development.

Shaikh Mohammad made these remarks when he received the first and consecutive Abu Dhabi government leaders on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of establishing the Abu Dhabi government.

“On this occasion, we remember the late Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who was keen on incorporating modern elements of governance and administration. He was able to establish the first building blocks of this regulatory body, specifying its goals and duties that made Abu Dhabi a hub for originality, modernity and authenticity. Shaikh Zayed also managed to set a model for comprehensive and sustainable development that invest in human beings and empower them with modern education,” said Shaikh Mohammad.

“Since the beginning, development achievements made by Abu Dhabi over the past five decades were based on a strong government body that managed to turn visions, ideas and strategies into actions and tangible results,” he added.

Shaikh Mohammad said that development is a comprehensive and continuous process that requires an evolving vision that is able to overcome challenges. “That is why we are keen on Abu Dhabi’s executive body being a model of government excellence by continued development of the governmental work system to cope with future governments and deal with requirements of development,” he added.

“We cannot forget the contributions of the first generation of employees at Abu Dhabi Government, and their rich contributions and services to the UAE in tough conditions. They have set an example and now serve as role models in honesty, dedication, hard work and loyalty for the progress of Abu Dhabi and the UAE,” said Shaikh Mohammad.

“We are confident that the new generation of government employees are following the same approach to cope with the development experienced by the emirate in all domains. They are empowered with patriotism and loyalty to their nation, driven by enthusiasm to participate in creating the future and raising the status of Abu Dhabi and the UAE over the coming years,” he said.

Shaikh Mohammad called on Abu Dhabi government employees to put the happiness of citizens at the forefront of their priorities and to treat citizens well and process their transactions quickly.

Present during the meeting were Shaikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, Shaikh Tahnoun Bin Mohammad Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Eastern Region, Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, President’s Adviser, and other shaikhs and senior officials.
