Fujairah: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Saturday offered his condolences to the family of Emirati martyr Captain Pilot Khalid Mohammad Al Shehi, whose aircraft crashed due to a technical failure while performing his national duties in Yemen as part of the Saudi-led coalition’s operations.

While visiting the mourning majlis in Al Qadfa area of Fujairah, Shaikh Mohammad offered condolences to the family of the martyr, praying to Allah Almighty to rest his soul in eternal peace, and grant his family patience and solace.

During his visit, Shaikh Mohammad spoke with the family members, and described Emirati martyrs as symbols of pride given their rare bravery and courage, “which make us even prouder”. “They have exemplified the highest meanings of sacrifice, determination and working tirelessly to spread good and support our brothers,” he highlighted.

“While we pray to Allah Almighty to bestow his mercy upon them, we reaffirm that we will always remain faithful to their sacrifices, which give us hope and inspire our generations through their honourable stances and solid determination that will be immortalised in the history of our homeland,” Abu Dhabi Crown Prince said.

Shaikh Khalifa Bin Tahnoun Bin Mohammad Al Nahyan, director of The Martyrs’ Families’ Affairs Office at the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court; Mohammad Ahmad Al Bawardi, Minister of State for Defence Affairs; Dr Ahmad Mubarak Al Mazroui, secretary-general of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council; and Major-General Staff Pilot Ebrahim Nasser Al Alawi, Commander of the Air Force and Air Defence, also offered condolences alongside Shaikh Mohammad.
