Abu Dhabi: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Tuesday received Malcolm Turnbull, Prime Minister of Australia.

During the meeting, Shaikh Mohammad and Turnbull discussed relations between UAE and Australia in various fields such as trade, economy, investments and energy.

Both leaders reviewed current avenues of cooperation, which have witnessed development and growth thanks to the desire of both countries leaderships to develop bilateral cooperation and achieve mutual interests of both nations and their peoples.

Shaikh Mohammad and Turnbull exchanged views on a number of issues and recent regional and international developments. They emphasised the importance of exerting more efforts to achieve stability and peace, and find peaceful solutions to crises in the region. They also stressed the importance of intensifying efforts to combat terrorist organisations and eliminate sources of terrorism financing.

The meeting was attended by Obaid Al Hairi Salem Al Katbi, UAE’s Ambassador to Australia, Arthur Milton Spiro, Australia’s Ambassador to UAE, and other officials.
