Abu Dhabi: Shaikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, accompanied by Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, visited on Sunday Al Bateen Secondary School and inspected its educational progress.

During his visit, Shaikh Hazza met a number of students and was briefed on the most prominent educational practices and initiatives.

“Development rests on two key pillars, science and the arts, and the educational system must harness the latest global practices to serve education. If the technology contributes to advance the country, then the arts, including music, reflect human feelings and their living memory,” Shaikh Hazza said.

“As we need education to care about sciences and arts, we also need it to care about languages and provide students with the most important skills that would enable them to express themselves confidently since if a student doesn’t master his/her own language, he/she would not be able to learn the professional creative thinking,” Shaikh Hazza added.

“It is very important at this time to start launching educational initiatives to make schools an attractive place and the educational content more interesting and that will not be achieved without developing efficient human resources and qualify them according to the latest global standards,” Shaikh Hazza noted.

It is very important also to care about sports and physical education as each of them is a necessary element to build the personality of students, Shaikh Hazza noted.

Sports, for example, provides students with appropriate psychological and mental environments that would further facilitate achieving success and achievements.
