Dubai: Dubai Municipality has launched a 7-star service in the Clinic and Medical Services Section as part of its ambitious programme to make the customers happy and facilitate their transactions, the civic body has announced.

The new facilities include the installation of an air-conditioned lounge with a variety of services including hospitality, telephone and tab service, comfortable chairs and a library for patients to read during their stay in the Section for quick and easy examinations, Zubaida Mohammad Sharif Gaithi, head of Clinic and Medical Services Section, said in a press release on Tuesday.

Under the 7-star service programme, there will a customer service centre in an independent building and will have a corporate identity, she pointed out.

“The counter, front offices, lobby and information desk would be a separate unit of the building in terms of appearance so that it can be clearly defined and the number of front offices should be less than two. The number of service days should not be less than five days per week and the section should have full-time officials,” she said.

“In order for the section to receive a 7-star rating, the overall result should be 95 per cent or more in devising and applying best practices in all eight focal areas. The customer and employee satisfaction rate should be 95 per cent or more during the last three years, in addition to achieving excellence in the cost of service compared to other federal agencies,” said Gaithi.

“A study has been completed to measure the satisfaction of the front (office) staff and identify the areas of improvement and follow-up. In addition, awareness workshops have been held for all front-desk employees in the section about the standards of the model,” she said.
