Dubai: An agreement to build a housing complex in Ajman at a cost of Dh1 billion has been signed by the Shaikh Zayed Housing Programme (SZHP).

The project will include 729 four-bedroom houses and will be situated in Mohammad Bin Zayed City in Ajman. It will occupy an area of 954 million square metres. The project will be implemented by China State Construction Corporation and Dubco Construction.

The agreement was signed by Dr Abdullah Mohammad Bel Haif Al Nuaimi, Minister of Infrastructure Development and Chairman of SZHP.

Al Nuaimi said that achieving housing stability and happiness for Emiratis is a priority for the wise leadership of UAE. He emphasised that the signing of the agreement is in line with the continued partnership between government bodies and private sector companies.

Similar to other projects implemented by SZHP, the project will adopt sustainability and international environmental standards.

Beneficiaries will be able to book their homes through the Shaikh Zayed Complex Smart system, which will allow them to virtually tour the houses and book a unit.

Emiratis housing aid applicants can apply for government housing by filling up the forms available on SZHP’s website or through its customer happiness service centres in Dubai, and the northern and eastern regions.
