Abu Dhabi: Twenty-five Civil Defence officers passed the advanced training course in firefighting at Hamburg Fire Science Academy in Germany. Another 25 firefighters have enrolled in the same training course meant to improve the performance of Civil Defence officers.

Brigadier Hilal Eida Al Mazroui, director-general of resources and support services at the General Directorate of the UAE Civil Defence and the training supervisor, said that the training was expected to help implement the best practices in the field of firefighting, tackling accidents, improving officers’ capabilities and developing their skills, as well as dealing with crisis management in an efficient manner.

Al Mazroui added that the Ministry of Interior is focusing on enhancing and developing its human resources by implementing the best international practices and training programmes.
