Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in his capacity as Ruler of Abu Dhabi, issued an Emiri decree reappointing His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, as chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.

He also issued a second decree restructuring the council. Under the decree, Shaikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan has been reappointed vice-chairman of the Council, while Shaikh Hamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, chairman of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court remains a member.

The council’s members also include Shaikh Mohammad Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, and Shaikh Diab Bin Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, chairman of the Department of Transport.

Other members include Shaikh Sultan Bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan; Dr Ahmad Mubarak Al Mazroui, secretary-general of the council; Khaldoun Khalifa Al Mubarak, chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority; Jasem Mohammad Al Za’abi, chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Office, and Dr Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, chairman of the Department of Community Development.

Major General Mohammad Khalfan Al Rumaithi, chief of Abu Dhabi Police; Riyadh Abdul Rahman Al Mubarak, chairman of the Department of Finance; Shaikh Abdullah Bin Mohammad Al Hamed, chairman of the Health Department, Dr Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, chairman of the Department of Education and Knowledge, are also members.

Other members include Eng Awaidha Murshed Al Marar, chairman of the Department of Energy; Saif Mohammad Al Hajiri, chairman of the Department of Economic Development; Falah Mohammad Al Ahbabi, chairman of the Department of Urban Planning and Municipalities, and Mohammad Khalifa Al Mubarak, chairman of the Department of Culture and Tourism.
