Dubai: Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, has praised Morocco’s efforts to combat terrorism and thanked King Mohammad VI for his cooperation.

Shaikh Abdullah said: “This stance is not unusual for Morocco as it reflects the close fraternal relations and historic ties that were established by Shaikh Zayed and King Hassan II of Morocco over decades.

This has been consolidated under the leadership of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and King Mohammad VI of Morocco, making them so strong and solid that they have become a crucial partnership at all times and under all circumstances.”

He added that “in addition to being a violation of human rights, terrorism threatens the integrity and values of states, undermines their social fabric, destroys their security and development achievements, and erodes their cultural and human heritage”.

Shaikh Abdullah stressed that Morocco has a traditional and principled policy to fight terrorism.
