Dubai: In this video, you can see domes, arenas, residential towers and lakes.

But this is not your typical footage of the UAE, as a resident has been able to capture all the letters of the alphabet using aerial photographs from Google earth.

Google Earth Alphabet - Dubai from Patrick Semaan on Vimeo.

In a video that was posted online on Saturday, Patrick Seamaan – who took six months to create the video – explained that with Google earth, he was able to cover every letter of the alphabet off of Dubai’s view from space.

The video, which was posted on Vimeo, was accompanied with a description of the project.

Seamaan also gave details as to why he undertook the project.

“When moving to a new country, a bird’s eye view is the best way for me to understand the urban planning and road systems, which helps to know my way around pretty quickly,” he said.

The project combined multiple topics that Seamaan is passionate about, including typography, geography, architecture, and creativity.

The hardest letters to find were: R, K, A and Z.

The easiest?

C, I and O.

To work on such a project, Seamaan added, takes curiosity, creativity and a lot of patience.
