Dubai: Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Monday promoted her new movie Heroine in style in Dubai. She stepped off a sea-plane and jumped onto a yacht at the Jebel Ali Resort and Spa — just like her glamorous on-screen persona Mahi Arora.
Kapoor’s mood on Monday was sunny and pleasant, a stark contrast to her reel-life role.
“I am balanced, calm and sorted. I would never take decisions that she would take as an actress,” said Kapoor at a press meet about her latest role.
In town to promote her September 19 release, Kapoor said the Madhur Bhandarkar-directed Heroine represented the grim reality of a leading actress who falls from grace.
“Madhur feels it is 70 per cent real, I feel it is 80 per cent real,” said Kapoor.
However, she added that it was not a biography of a particular star.
“It’s not about a particular individual. There are bits of all actors in here,” said Kapoor.
The film is no stranger to controversies. From its high-profile casting change [the role was initially slated for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan] to its acerbic dialogues, controversies have been aplenty.
“But I think I was pre-destined to take on this role. Madhur and I have been wanting to work together since Page 3. Watch out for this one,” said Kapoor.
