Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority held its regular meeting yesterday under the chairmanship of Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the authority.

The authority approved a proposal to provide the farmers of Madinat Zayed in the Western Region, Al Gharbia, with sewage treatment facilities and reviewed a report focused on environmental, health and safety management.

It also discussed mechanisms to take advantage of the expertise found in the private sector to improve economic returns, reviewed a report about the people participating in the feed support programme, and another report about the obstacles and risks when carrying out strategic projects.

Shaikh Mansour expressed his appreciation of the efforts of the authority in improving the quality of life for citizens and residents in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.
