The second stage of the Dubai Tour gets under way today with cyclists covering 188km between 10am and 3.30pm.

The four-day Dubai Tour has 128 cyclists from around the world traversing 671km through four emirates, including Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah and Fujairah.

The endurance ride is split into four stages, the Dubai Silicon Oasis Stage (179km), the Nakheel stage (188km), the Westin stage and the Business Bay stage.

The Nakheel Stage today passes through Jumeirah Islands and the Palm Jumeirah communities as part of the 188km route, which starts at Dubai International Marine Club and finishes at Atlantis The Palm.

The region’s biggest cycling spectacle will pass through several key roads and junctions leading to road closures between 10am and 3.30pm.

Starting from Dubai International Marine Club, the route will enter Shaikh Zayed Road heading south and then turn on D57 all the way to E77 and Dubai-Al Ain Road.

 

Running between 10am and 3.30pm, the route will also pass through Al Lusaili Road, Al Qudra Road and Emirates Road before entering Motor City and and Dubai Sports City.

Heading from Dubai Sports City the tour will hit D72 via Hessa Street before entering Jumeirah Islands thorugh Garn Al Sabkha Street. Stage two of Dubai Tour will terminate on Crescent Road at 3.30pm after passing through Dubai Media City and Palm Jumeirah.
